The contract value between Shineversendai and Vale Malaysia Minerals Sdn Bhd is worth RM45.9 million for a period of 12 months, Eversendai said in a statement.
The project is expected to be completed by 2013 and the scope encompasses the supply of structural steel for pipe and cable rack as well as other miscellaneous works.
Executive chairman and group managing director of Eversendai, AK Nathan, said: “We have stressed our keen interest to further expand our business portfolio in Malaysia and are delighted to announce the securing of another project which strengthens our presence in the local arena.
“The winning of this project will indisputably add more value to our current standing in Malaysia and overseas as a major premium contractor for structural steel works on high-rise buildings, commercial buildings, roof structures, stadiums, bridges, industrial, chemical and power plants.
“Besides that, we have solidified our position with a strong track record that speaks volume of the quality and adherence to safety.”
