Kollywood heartthrob Arvind arrives in Penang to shoot film
Former boy-next-door movie star, who returned to the big screen after a 15-year break, will star opposite Madras beauty Trisha Krishnan in new thriller.
The 46-year-old actor arrived from Kuala Lumpur, where the movie was also shot on location.
Today, Arvind was spotted at popular Penang tourist spots Batu Ferringhi and Penang Road.
He was later at Four Points Hotel in Tanjung Bungah for an outdoor shoot, and will tonight adjourn to a nightclub on Farquhar Street for yet another scene.
It is not known however how many days Arvind will be in Penang.
Arvind is accompanied by actress, Trisha Krishnan, who plays the heroine in the movie.
“Glamorous Mesh” posted a video of Arvind on Facebook, walking along Batu Ferringhi beach in a suit. A photo of Trisha was also uploaded.
Arvind, who began acting in 1991, is best known for his roles in the action drama Thalapati and political drama Roja, both box-office hits in India and Malaysia.
In 2000, he left the movie scene to focus on his business.
During his hiatus however, Arvind was involved in an accident that left him with one leg paralysed. He fought his way to full recovery after five long years.
Indian director Mani Ratnam persuaded the actor to make a return to the big screen in Kadal in 2013. Mani was responsible for casting Arvind in his first acting role in the movie Roja, for which he won the Tamil Nadu Best Actor Award.

In 2015, Arvind won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Thani Oruvan,a another box-office hit.
