Fancy lobster nasi lemak? Then head to Kota Kinabalu
A Sabah outlet has come up with nasi lemak that goes with freshly baked lobster, believed to be the first of its kind in the country.
Those fed up with eating nasi lemak with the standard chicken, beef or cuttlefish may want to visit the Tavern Kitchen & Bar in Imago Shopping Mall.
According to a report in the New Sabah Times, the nasi lemak is cooked with coconut milk and pandan leaves, and topped off with a number of garnishes such as fried anchovies, roasted peanuts, boiled egg and freshly sliced cucumbers along with sambal.
Diners, the report said, would have a selection of either 400gm (RM49) or 600gm (RM89) of lobster, sourced freshly from local markets.
They can also choose from three sauces – buttermilk, satay sauce or spicy sambal – to go with the lobster.
If they don’t like lobsters, they can choose tiger prawns or giant squids.
