‘S’gor only good at putting up billboards’

July 8, 2012

Selangor Umno chief Noh Omar says Pakatan was only good at making promises in the state.

BANGI: The failure of the Pakatan Rakyat-led Selangor government to fulfil its promises has opened the people’s eyes on its administrative credibility and ability, said Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Noh Omar.

“They are only paying lip service. They are only good at erecting billboard campaigns, but nothing more than that,” he said at the sixth Promises Fulfilled Tour launched by Najib Tun Razak here today.

Noh, who is also Selangor Umno liaison committee deputy chairman, said on the other hand the Barisan Nasional had shown its integrity and capability in developing the states for over 50 years.

He said within three years in office, the prime minister was able fulfil many promises by implementing many transformation programmes for the benefit of the people and the future of the country.

On the 1Malaysia People’s Taxi (TR1Ma) programme, Noh said there was no other country in the world where the government was willing to honour taxi drivers by doing away with giving taxi licences to companies.

Clearly, he said the government under Najib’s leadership was championing the people though a well-thought out agenda and direction formulated for the benefit of the people and the country.

Noh said Selangor under the opposition rule was saddled with a myriad of problems due to incompetence, much to the chagrin of the people.
