KUALA LANGAT: A man was killed after he was slashed on the neck by his younger brother during a heated argument at their house in Jalan Orchid, Sijangkang, Teluk Panglima Garang, here.

Kuala Langat District Police chief Supt Zailan Tasir said in the 6pm incident yesterday, the victim, aged 32, had a heated argument with his 26-year-old brother who had not fasted that day.

“Subsequently, a fight broke out when the victim took a long metal bar from the kitchen and the suspect grabbed a knife,” he told reporters at the scene today.

Zailan said the suspect slashed his elder brother on the left side of the neck during the scuffle.

“A friend took the victim in a car to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) in Klang,” he said.

Zailan said, however, the victim died while on the way to hospital.

Police have detained the suspect for investigation.
