Gerakan: Political differences scaring tourists, investors
Party president Mah Siew Keong says political squabbles will find its way into cyberspace and frighten away investors and tourists.
KUALA LUMPUR: Gerakan wants the people to put aside their political differences, claiming such disputes will frighten potential investors and tourists.
Party president Mah Siew Keong said what the country needed now was to attract more investors and to increase trade.
“Our squabbles will be seen on the Internet and this will scare investors and tourists,” he told reporters at the party’s Chinese New Year celebration, here.
Mah, who is also a Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, said the government must work hard to overcome social problems and those related to education as well as the high cost of living.

“We politicians only speak about politics, yet when I go to the ground everyone else is talking about the cost of living,” he said, adding the issue was more challenging in urban areas.
