The video, filmed in Pangkor, Malaysia shows four kittens listening intently to a roadside busker.
PETALING JAYA: A heartwarming video of four adorable kittens listening intently to a busker strumming his guitar and singing to them has been posted on YouTube.
In the video, published May 2, the long-haired busker is seen sitting on a pavement, in front of a restaurant in Pangkor Island, Malaysia, singing as his rapt audience – in the form of four kittens, sit glued as they take in his, as far as they are concerned anyway, Grammy-winning performance.
According to Newsflare, an online video news community and marketplace website for user-generated video content, the individual who recorded the video posted the amusing scene online, with the caption: “My friend just finished his busking on that night but not many people that night heard him sing. He was feeling upset.
“Then he sits and relaxes. He sings the song just for fun. Suddenly, the kittens (3 months old) come and sit in front of him. They were my kittens. Like the kittens know his feeling and give him support.
“The kittens were his audience till the end and he thanked the kittens for watching his performance. I own the restaurant.”
Throughout the video, the busker, looking appreciative of his captive audience, makes eye contact with the four, and finding the situation amusing himself, even laughs in mid song.
Despite people walking past and other public noises that were sure to distract, the four nevertheless gave the busker their undivided attention and even appeared as if moving their heads and ears to the rhythm of his music at times. One of them looks askance at one point, but decides quickly enough that her favourite busker is still far more interesting a sound to take in.
At the end of his performance, the busker humbly says: “Terima kasih, semua!” (Thanks, everybody), as he bows his head at his adoring fans.
