Free parcel lockers at 7-Eleven for online shoppers
They are meant for safe-keeping of items purchased online through Lazada.
KUALA LUMPUR: BOXiT Holdings Sdn Bhd will be installing 100 parcel lockers for online shoppers at selected 7-Eleven outlets nationwide by year-end.
BOXiT Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gregor Trawoger said the parcel lockers, which are free and available 24 hours, are meant for safe-keeping of items purchased online.
“Online shoppers are given a pin number to claim their purchases at 7-Eleven outlets nearest to them.
“Receiving, collecting and returning their purchases is now a breeze for online shoppers with the free parcel locker service,” he told reporters at the launch of BOXiT’s parcel lockers and the announcement of a partnership with leading online shopping website Lazada Malaysia.
Trawoger said since early this year, 20 parcel lockers have been installed at 7-Eleven outlets throughout the Klang Valley.
BOXiT is to install 300 more by 2017 and 500 by 2018 nationwide.
7-Eleven Malaysia CEO Gary Brown said the service would further reinforce its position as the undisputed leading 24-hour convenience retailer in the country.
“The parcel locker service will provide further convenience and attraction to shoppers going online,” he said.
Meanwhile, Lazada Malaysia CEO Hans-Peter Ressel said online shoppers can look forward to selecting over six million items from a wide range of products on its website.
“Our focus has always been to provide our customers with an effortless shopping experience that caters to the busy and modern lifestyle of Malaysians,” he said.
