OUG killer not paid for hit
Factory worker who pulled the trigger on businesswoman and her child, did not get the RM10,000 promised by his hirers.
PETALING JAYA: The hired killer who fatally shot businesswoman Wong Siu Ling in Taman OUG earlier this month, was not paid the RM10,000 he was promised, Malay Mail reported today.
According to the report, quoting a police source, the 29-year-old factory worker had admitted to the police following his arrest on Saturday that he was the one who rode pillion, and pulled the trigger on Wong.
The suspect also said that he was given the gun by one of his accomplices at his home the night before the murder, and that he was not paid the money promised for the job.
To date, nine suspects, including two married couples, are in police custody in connection with the murder.
Police have so far ascertained the motive of the murder as being a RM13 million investment deal gone wrong.
Wong, 32, had reportedly given the money to a businessman to start the business, which failed to take off.
She had then insisted on getting her money back and even hired a private investigator to track down the businessman.
This caused the businessman to order a hit on her.
Wong’s eight-year-old daughter was also injured in the July 6 incident.

Police were also probing Wong’s husband Wong Chun Kee, who had business dealings in China, to see how he made his money and the possibility of money laundering as earlier reports had stated that Chun Kee was possibly involved in a Ponzi scheme in China.
