PAS scoffs at unsigned RM90 million cheque
Image of cheque being shared on social media is dismissed by PAS vice-presient Mohd Amar Abdullah, who says no bank will accept an unsigned cheque.
PETALING JAYA: The picture of a RM90 million cheque PAS is supposed to have received has no signature, PAS vice-president Mohd Amar Abdullah said.
He said no bank would accept such a cheque. A picture of the cheque is being spread on social media.
“How can you cash and bank in a cheque if it is not signed?
“It would be very stupid of a bank to accept an unsigned cheque,” he said at a recent ceramah in Besut, Terengganu, Malaysiakini reported.
Amar was commenting on allegations made by former PAS vice-president Husam Musa that PAS had received RM90 million from questionable sources.
The Salor assemblyman had claimed the funds were allegedly transfered into a bank account and challenged PAS to take legal action if he was wrong.
PAS Youth had lodged a police report against Husam, who is now an Amanah member.

Amar expressed regret that some PKR leaders could believe such claims against PAS, the news portal said.
