Petrol prices unchanged in March

PETALING JAYA: Petrol prices will be maintained at RM2.30 per litre for RON95, and RM2.60 per litre for RON97 in March. Diesel will however cost 5 sen more at RM2.20 per litre, reports The Star Online.

This was confirmed by Petron petrol dealer Datuk Alang Zari Ishak, said the report.

Since Dec 1, 2014, fuel prices have been determined each month using the managed float system.

Last month, it was reported that refined petrol prices might differ from crude oil prices due to global forces of supply and demand.

On Feb 1, the prices of RON95 and RON97 went up by 20 sen per litre each. RON95 cost RM2.30 and RON97, RM2.60. Diesel went up by 10 sen to RM2.15.

On Jan 1, the price of RON95 petrol went up by 20 sen to RM2.10 per litre, while RON97 increased by 15 sen to RM2.40 per litre. Diesel also saw an increase of 20 sen to RM2.05 per litre.
