Pastor Koh’s abduction video now online
Video uploaded by local media, shows car driven by Christian religious leader being cornered by 3 SUVs as 4 other vehicles shield crime scene.
The black-and-white footage is clear and shows a light-coloured car, said to be Koh’s, being overtaken by a dark-coloured SUV as two other similar-looking SUVs come beside and behind, forcing Koh to stop in the middle of the road.
This happened shortly after all four vehicles had turned into Jalan SS4B/10 in Kelana Jaya, from the LDP highway.
The footage, which seems to have been carefully edited with captions and showing an opposite angle, also highlights how two other cars and two motorcycles were part of the operation, coming up close behind, and preventing an unsuspecting MyVi from going near where the three SUVs had cornered Koh’s Honda Accord.
One of the motorbikes is then seen forcing the MyVi to retreat to the junction, off the highway.
The whole incident takes place in less than a minute, with all vehicles, including Koh’s car, seen driving away.
According to the caption in the video, broken glass from Koh’s car, as well as his car number plate (ST 5515 D) were found on the road. It is believed that the number plate fell off after the victim had tried to ram the SUV in front in an effort to escape.
The footage, believed to be from CCTV cameras nearby supports the theory posited earlier that the pastor’s abduction was a well-executed plan.
Koh, 62, was abducted by a group of masked men less than 100 metres from the Police Housing Complex.
The footage shown in the video also matches the description given by Koh’s son, Jonathan, who had claimed last week that the family had obtained CCTV footage of the incident.
Meanwhile, Selangor police said they had recently received the same video clip based on the CCTV footage of the incident.
State criminal investigation department chief senior assistant commissioner Fadzil Ahmat told The New Straits Times that he had watched the video.
“We are treating it as information to investigate Koh’s abduction. At this moment, we cannot confirm the authenticity of the video yet as we need to investigate deeper,” he was quoted as saying by the daily.
