Petrol and diesel prices go up

The price of RON95 is RM2.21, RON97 RM2.52 and diesel RM2.14.


PETALING JAYA: Fuel prices will go up from midnight, with a 1-sen increase per litre for RON95 and 4-sen increase for RON 97, while the price of diesel will go up by 9 sen.

The price of RON95 petrol will increase to RM2.21 from RM2.20, and the price of RON97 will go up to RM2.52 from RM2.48 previously.

The price of diesel will increase to RM2.14 from RM2.05.

The new prices will be in effect from Sept 14 until Sept 20, 2017.

This was posted on the domestic trade, cooperatives and consumerism ministry’s website on Wednesday evening.

The weekly fuel pricing mechanism came into effect on March 29 this year. Prices of petrol and diesel had been placed on a managed monthly float system since Dec 1, 2014, following the removal of fuel subsidies.
