Kedah Islamic Religious Affairs Department (JHEAIK) director Abdul Rahman Ismail advised Muslims not to be deceived by the movement and to lodge a report of any group disseminating Islamic teachings that deviated from the true teachings of the religion.
He also urged imams to advise members of their congregation not to follow such deviationist teachings.

The video on the deviationist movement on Pulau Tuba showed a man, believed to be the leader, giving a talk on Islam which deviated from the true teachings of the religion, plus pictures of a house and hut where the movement carried out its activities.
