PETALING JAYA: DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang has assured that any abuse of power, or even the perception of it – past or present – will be subject to investigations.

“I’ve always said that, and I stand by it,” he said at a town hall session with youth at the community hall here today.

Lim was addressing a question on whether he would investigate the alleged abuse of power that the opposition had accused former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad of, should the coalition come into power, especially now that Mahathir was an ally.

Mahathir was sitting next to Lim.

Lim added however that the future was more important than the past.

“The most important thing is to get rid of Najib and to reset nation-building in this country.

“Look to the future and see how to fix the nation and the nation’s institutions.”
