Back to the ground, Musa tells Umno leaders

The Sabah chief minister says BN is assured a big victory based on its track record.

musa-aman-umno-leaders-1KUALA LUMPUR: Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman today urged Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders to work the ground in their respective constituencies ahead of the next polls.

“Now is the time to go back to our constituencies and work together to ensure BN of a huge victory,” he said on the sidelines of the Umno annual general assembly at the Putra World Trace Centre here.

Musa said BN’s track record would assure the coalition of a big victory.

“We have to make it clear that we are always helping people of all walks of life. Go down to the ground and keep them informed about our policies and our successes,” he said.

Musa also welcomed party president Najib Razak’s presidential address on cooperation among BN partners to ensure victory at the 14th general election, which must be called by mid-2018.

“He told us not to be complacent with the preparation for the election and to work hard together with the whole BN machinery,” said Musa.

On President Donald Trump’s decision to move the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Musa said Sabah Umno was fully behind Najib in opposing the move.

“We need to continue helping Palestinians like how we have always done.”
