KUALA LUMPUR: Perak PAS supporters' club youth leader P Siva Pandian was shot dead in front of his car wash outlet in Langkap this afternoon.
According to Harakah, Siva, 34, was hit in the head and chest, and died on the spot during the 3pm incident.
The PAS organ said it is learnt that the assailant had fled on a motorcycle. The motive for the attack has yet to be determined.
Hilir Perak police chief ACP Goh Kok Liang meanwhile said two masked and helmeted men on a motorcycle had approached Siva at his car wash in Langkap and that one of them had fired two shots at the victim's head from close range.
Three members of the victim's family were present during the incident but were not hurt, he told Bernama.
He said the victim had a previous criminal record and police believed revenge to be the motive for the slaying.
Police have launched a manhunt for the killers.
