Tuanku Mizan was accompanied at the function by Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah and two of their children, Tengku Nadhirah Zahrah and Tengku Fatimatuz Zahra.
Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and his wife, Rosmah Mansor, and Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and his wife, Norainee Abdul Rahman, were also present.
Among others present were former prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his wife, Jeanne Abdullah, members of the royal household, Cabinet ministers and their wives as well as VIPs from the country and abroad.
At the function, Tuanku Mizan cut a birthday cake and mingled with the guests, who were entertained by an orchestra and a cultural group from Kuala Lumpur City Hall and artistes Hazami and Jaclyn Victor.
