IPOH: Perak Barisan Nasional Backbenchers Club (BNBBC) chairman Nadzri Ismail has lodged a police report against 'fake' state assembly speaker V Sivakumar.

He said this was because Tronoh state assemblyman Sivakumar had used the official letterhead of the Perak state assembly to issue a notice on the assembly session on March 30.

Manjoi state assemblyman Nadzri said Sivakumar was relieved of the speaker's post on May 7, 2009 and that it was verified by the Ipoh High Court.

"Sivakumar's act in disguising as the speaker is contempt of court. We want police to act as he is acting outside the law despite police reports lodged against him," he said after lodging the police report at Ipoh police headquarters today.

Speaker R Ganesan who is also the Rights and Privileges Committee chairman would be asked to act against Sivakumar for wrongdoing.

Nadzri said the notice dated March 8 issued by Sivakumar was received on March 10 by post.

He added Sivakumar's act was just an opposition ploy to fool the people into believing that they attended the assembly after receiving the notice.

Ganesan had announced that the state assembly will sit on March 30 and that notice had been issued to all state assemblymen on March 1.
