China’s trade surplus with US hit record in September

BEIJING: China’s trade surplus with the United States ballooned to a record US$34.1 billion (RM141 billion) in September despite a raft of US tariffs, official data showed Friday, adding fuel to the spiralling trade war.

China’s exports to the US rose to US$46.7 billion while imports slumped to US$12.6 billion, according to the customs administration.
