PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) is under investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over a tender award involving the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
MAHB said MACC officers had recently visited its headquarters to investigate the award.
In a statement to Bursa Malaysia, MAHB said MACC had requested for information and documentation in relation to the Covid-19 private screening and testing contract award for KLIA.
“The company has given full cooperation and complied with all MACC requirements, and there has been no further enquiry from MACC,” it said.
MAHB added there was no enquiry from MACC on its automated people mover replacement tender, which has yet to be concluded.
It reiterated that the company’s procurement processes for all its tenders were conducted in strict compliance with SOPs with the anti-bribery management system serving as “an additional safeguard”.
