The disgruntled gamer accuses the video-sharing platform of suppressing his videos and promoting “clickbaity” content rather than videos that he’s actually subscribed to.
His channel passed the 50 million subscriber count on Thursday.
On Twitter, Kjellberg announced he’ll be shutting down his channel at 5 pm GMT.
The news comes after Forbes placed the gamer at the top of its list of the highest-paid YouTubers in 2016: PewDiePie is estimated to have raked in $15 million.
