His channel passed the 50 million subscriber count on Thursday.
On Twitter, Kjellberg announced he’ll be shutting down his channel at 5 pm GMT.
The news comes after Forbes placed the gamer at the top of its list of the highest-paid YouTubers in 2016: PewDiePie is estimated to have raked in $15 million.
