The Royal Wedding ceremony will be released as an album

The wedding service is scheduled for May 19 at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, and the digital release of the album is scheduled for the same day.

On May 25, the physical release will follow, available on CD and vinyl and including a special collector’s booklet.

Music label Decca has provided details on the many performers that will feature at the ceremony and on the album, including British cellist Sheku Kanneh Mason, Welsh soprano Elin Manahan Thomas, The Choir of St George’s Chapel and Christian gospel group The Kingdom Choir.

The orchestra for the event will be made up of musicians from the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the English Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonia, while State Trumpeters will provide ceremonial support.

Decca has previously released albums for the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011, as well as for the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Wales in 1981, and for the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1997.

While the 2011 wedding ceremony was recorded and available within hours after the event via iTunes and other digital retailers, this new recording marks the first time the full ceremony will be available to stream globally. –AFPRelaxnews
