James Bond hits the target with Char Kuey Teow 007-style

James Bond’s Char Kuey Teow at Restaurant Tong Fong at Seapark makes for a truly satisfying meal.

If you happen to find yourself hungry as a wolf in the Seapark area of Petaling Jaya, make a beeline for Tong Fong kopitiam, located just around the bend from the impossible-to-miss KFC.

The kopitiam has a number of stalls, some of which sell curry mee and beef noodles, but the bright yellow banner that reads, “James Bond Fried Kuey Teow” is definitely one that will catch your attention.

On closer inspection, you will see that the self-proclaimed James Bond, who is the cook at the wok, is about Sean Connery’s age.

Decent-sized prawns, big cockles and good ‘wok hei’ make for a pretty good plate of Char Kuey Teow.

The plate of Char Kuey Teow James Bond cooked up was pretty decent. There were enough good-sized prawns, juicy cockles and “wok hei” to make his dish rather memorable and super tasty.

It would have been perfect if he had the option of duck eggs to go with his char kuey teow, but he didn’t. The only other criticism was that the dish could have been a whole lot spicier.

Other than that, James Bond pretty much hit the target with his version of Char Kuey Teow 007-style.
