For Sarawak Laksa lovers who make Petaling Jaya their hunting ground for this delicious feel-good hawker fare, you have likely tasted Aunty Lan’s Sarawak Laksa by now.
This stall used to operate at NZX food court back in 2017.
The stall has since moved out, and for weeks on end many customers were scratching their heads as to just where the famous Aunty Lan had shifted to.
Well, as luck would have it, someone successfully tracked down Aunty Lan – her new location is just a few minutes away by car from Subang Airport at Tin Ha Kopitiam.
Located within the light industrial estate of Kampung Pinggiran Subang, eating there over the weekends is a joy as there is ample parking bays available.
Also, if you’re a fan of good prawn mee, Johnny’s Prawn Mee & Loh Mee is just a couple of minutes away. What a treat!
The Sarawak Laksa here is just as good as it was way back then when Aunt Lan first became famous.
The broth is still thick and full of flavour, with generous helpings of prawns, eggs, shredded chicken, and bean sprouts.
This is how authentic Sarawak Laksa is prepared and even more knowledgeable Sarawakians who’ve tasted the best, agree.
If a spicy breakfast isn’t your thing however, the Kolo Mee here is a pretty worthy alternative.
For the uninitiated, Kolo Mee isn’t just Wantan Mee without the dark sauce or Wan Tans, those delicious dumplings of meat and sometimes prawn.
The noodles used in making Kolo Mee is very different from that used in making Wan Tan Mee as this has a lighter and springier texture, which many people actually prefer.
