This has got to be the biggest automotive news for 2019 for Malaysia. Seong Hoe Premium Motors Sdn Bhd, Sime Darby Motors and Ingress Auto who are all well established and well run BMW dealers are each opening brand new Volvo Cars dealerships around the country.
This news comes as we learn that Volvo Cars sales in Malaysia have never been better and the month-on-month jump in demand for the past 12 months have been more than just impressive.
Volvo Cars, still a relatively moderate seller in Malaysia when compared to BMW and Mercedes in the premium segment, is making waves with its impressive SUV lineup starting the all new award winning XC40, the multiple award winning XC60 and the global best selling XC90 SUV.
Volvo Cars in Malaysia is not resting on the current success and as orders pile in month after month, they are working hard to deliver cars to waiting customers and shortening the waiting list.
With the opening of the three new luxury Swedish-themed showrooms around the country, Volvo Cars in Malaysia is poised to “scare” BMW and Mercedes in 2020 as the Volvo S60 performance sedan will be arriving together with an all-new V40 hot hatch and also the much sought after plug-in hybrid XC40 crossover.
All looks good for Volvo Cars and the competition needs to wake up and take notice of this returning market leader after its 25 years of sitting quiet in Malaysia.
