Grab your Porsche for a song

Few car brands come close to the desirability of Porsche. They’ve been making some of the most impressive, opulent and timeless cars for decades now.

70% of all Porsches ever built are still running to this day because of how special and highly coveted these cars are. That means you don’t actually need to buy a brand new Porsche to experience the best the brand has to offer.

That’s why Porsche Approved Pre-Owned Car Centres have been operating in Malaysia for eight years now. These are run by Sime Darby Auto Performance, the sole importer and distributor of new Porsche vehicles in the country.

Not only are you getting cars backed by the principal themselves, buying these Porsche Approved Pre-Owned cars also have a number of other benefits.

Vehicles sold at Porsche Approved Pre-Owned Car Centres have full maintenance histories and documentation all the way to the date of manufacture and proof of mileage.

They only take in accident-free models and refurbish the vehicles back to Porsche standards after Porsche technicians give each vehicle a 111-point check.

In essence, the vehicles they sell are all 100% stock and guaranteed to be in excellent condition.

These aspects alone set the product offering apart from your run of the mill used car dealer. But they don’t stop there.

Every Porsche Approved pre-owned car comes with a 24-month comprehensive warranty and Porsche Roadside Assistance service, taking any worry out of the shopping experience.

Buying a car from these centres also gives you exclusive access to Porsche track days, driving experiences and other exclusive events organised by Sime Darby Auto Performance.

Perhaps what’s most important to potential Porsche owners is that they provide an exceptional range of rare and special models – many of which are out production. Whether you’re looking for a 911 Targa or a Macan Turbo, they’ve got it all under one roof.

These vehicles are sourced from 3 major streams. The first is trade-in customers. Sime Darby Auto Performance customers tend to come back for seconds. Cars with fewer than 70,000km on the odometer and under 7 years are qualified to be included here.

Other cars include ex-demo cars. These are vehicles that are less than a year old with very low mileage. Because they’re almost brand new, many of these vehicles come with up to a four-year/100,000km warranty with complimentary service and maintenance, parts and labour for up to four years or 60,000 km.

Finally, they also source vehicles imported from right-hand drive countries. These are often demo or press vehicles which are unregistered in Malaysia. These too have genuine mileage on them.

As an idea of cost savings, a 2015 Cayenne Turbo (E2 II) would cost at least RM1,150,000 new.

The same car from the Porsche Approved Advantage programme sells at RM400,000 less and still has a two-year warranty and service/maintenance package.
