2. Hoi An, Vietnam

Hoi An is probably the most charming little historic town in South-East Asia. The ancient town used to be an international trading port back in the 15th century, and the mix of cultures is reflected in the town’s unique architecture style.

3. Ubud, Indonesia

Ubud is more than a place to just Eat, Pray, Love. This new favourite destination in Bali is quieter than Kuta, but has private villas that are more affordable than those in Seminyak.

4. Koh Rong, Cambodia

Cambodia has more than just the majestic Angkor Wat temple and ruins. It’s home to one of the world’s most beautiful islands.

Koh Rong is located off the beach town, Sihanoukville, but visitors can get there easily via a ferry. It’s almost impossible to find another island that has clearer waters than Koh Rong’s.

5. Kanchanaburi, Thailand

Kanchanaburi is known for its quaint floating villas on the River Kwai. Each of these floating houses has a private sun deck, where couples can watch the sunrise and sunset.

This popular Laotian town is a haven for nature-loving couples. There are two beautiful waterfalls to trek to, both of which are just an hour’s tuk tuk ride away from the town.

Luang Prabang town is also known for its quaint and historic character, with lots of French colonial cafés and eateries to try.

7. Mount Popa, Myanmar

The popular Buddhist pilgrimage site now has a resort attached to it. This resort is located more than 1,000m above sea level, so visitors can enjoy the crisp cool air along with the most amazing view of the ancient city of Bagan.
