The Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) has predicted that the hot weather will continue until June, with high temperatures and below-average rainfall across the country.
The situation is expected to worsen with the risk of drought, haze and massive heat waves if Malaysia is hit by the El Nino phenomenon.
Thus, everyone must take the necessary precautions to protect themselves, as well as their loved ones, from potential health risks such as heatstroke.
