PETALING JAYA: The car park compound is meant to provide a safe area for people to park their cars and carry on with their activities.
Unfortunately, it can also become a place where unexpected incidents like snatch thefts and car break-ins occur.
Just picture this: you park your car, lock it securely, but when you return, you find scratches or a cracked or shattered window possibly due to an attempted car break-in.
Such a scenario can be frustrating and disheartening, leaving vehicle owners with the unsettling feeling of vulnerability in a place where they least expected it.
In an effort to address the concerns and uncertainties faced by vehicle owners in such situations, Touch ‘n Go Group has launched ParkInsure, an affordable Personal Accident insurance priced at just RM5 per month, tailored for users who make payments at parking sites using the Touch ‘n Go card.
TNG Digital Sdn Bhd CEO Alan Ni said that accidents and unexpected events can occur regardless of how cautious or watchful individuals may be.
“We are pleased to introduce our latest insurance or takaful product on GOprotect, which provides personal accident insurance/takaful protection for our users who use the Touch ‘n Go card for payment at parking sites.”
“ParkInsure is customised to provide insurance and takaful protection specifically to Touch ’n Go card users within any car park compound where Touch ‘n Go card payments are enabled,” he said in a statement.
ParkInsure provides coverage for a range of accidents and incidents that may occur in a parking lot, including permanent disablement or accidental death, snatch theft, forcible car break-ins, and lost or damaged car keys and more.
Here is a breakdown of ParkInsure’s coverage:
- Reimbursement of up to RM70,000 for permanent disablement or accidental death resulting from an accident within the car park compound.
