PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s inclusion in the world’s six worst corruption scandals of 2015 over controversies surrounding 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) is a “shame of shame”, Lim Kit Siang said.

In a statement, the DAP supremo cited a report by foreignpolicy.com – published by the Slate Group, a division of the Washington Post – which ranked Malaysia in third place.

The article was published on December 29.

The FIFA corruption scandal and another involving former President Goodluck Jonathan’s national security adviser, Sambo Dasuki, occupied the first and second place respectively.

“Can Malaysians expect Prime Minister Najib Razak, who has brought such unprecedented dishonour at the global level to Malaysia, to fully defend himself in his 2016 New Year Message tonight?” Lim asked.
