PETALING JAYA: PKR has confirmed that Badrul Hisham Shaharin or Chegubard attended a disciplinary hearing yesterday.
Disciplinary board chairman, Brigadier-General Abdul Hadi Abdul Khattab told FMT that this was due to a report lodged by Badrul last November, said to revolve around several issues related to Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali’s administration.
Azmin is also PKR’s deputy president.
These issues, Abdul Hadi revealed, included the controversial state investment fund Darul Ehsan Investment Group (DEIG).
“It is just a preliminary investigation and fact finding. No final say has been made.”
He also noted that Badrul handed over evidence to the board and these items, will be looked into in the near future.
Chegubard when contacted confirmed he had passed the board a copy of Mohamed Azmin’s statement regarding the DEIG which he claimed contained not an ounce of truth.
He also submitted two documents from the Selangor council as proof that two logging zones in Selangor were awarded without an open tender.
“Azmin’s actions have negatively affected the party’s image. I have handed the documents over to the board and now it is up to them to evaluate.”
