Wanita MCA: Tee obviously needs help

PETALING JAYA: Ridhuan Tee Abdullah should seek medical treatment and counselling as he obviously needs help, says Wanita MCA Chief Heng Seai Kie.

Responding to Tee’s Sinar Harian column today, in which the controversial preacher described the “ultra-kiasu” MCA as being “anti-Islam”, Heng said she took pity on Tee.

“He is a frustrated Chinese convert who has lost his sense of belonging and is now struggling hard to prove his religious identity.”

She said Tee was frustrated because both the Chinese and Muslim communities had rejected him for his extremism and misconduct.

Heng also claimed that Tee’s latest column was an attempt to gain popularity at the expense of national harmony and unity.

“He is not fit to identify himself as a Malaysian as he has done nothing but try to cause chaos and disharmony in the country.

“In fact, Tee should be arrested under the Sedition Act.”

In his column today, Tee alleged that MCA members feigned support for the Umno-led government in hopes of obtaining projects from them while secretly opposing the Islamic agenda in general.

He also said that DAP was more forthcoming than MCA, which was a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”.

Last week, the Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin lecturer declared he was quitting the Chinese-based party in protest at its leaders’ opposition to the Private Member’s Bill tabled by PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang to amend the Shariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965.
