PETALING JAYA: The cold-blooded killing of a real estate agent in Taman OUG yesterday may be linked to the victim’s involvement in an alleged Pyramid Scheme.
According to Chinese newspaper Oriental Daily, Kuala Lumpur CID chief Rusdi Mohd Isa said the victim and her 39-year-old husband were involved in a Pyramid Scheme in China.
“The deceased’s husband admitted to running the Pyramid Scheme while in China, and recently returned to Malaysia after turning a profit,” Rusdi was quoted as saying.
Rusdi however said police were still investigating the motive behind the murder of the woman.
Meanwhile, the New Straits Times quoted Rusdi as saying the victim’s husband ran a cosmetics business.
“We are now checking if there are other businesses connected with the case,” he said, also revealing that the victim’s injured eight year-old daughter was currently in stable condition.
“She will be undergoing a second surgery to remove a slug from her heart.”
In the incident yesterday, the 32-year old victim was driving a Toyato Vellfire, accompanied by her maid and five children when two men on a motorcycle shot at her, fatally wounding her in the neck and injuring her daughter who was sitting beside her.
