KUALA LUMPUR: A man has been arrested to assist investigation into the shooting to death of a man at the Jalan Taman Ibu Kota/Jalan Genting Klang traffic-light junction in Setapak on July 27.
Kuala Lumpur Police CID chief SAC Rusdi Mohd Isa said the 34-year-old man, who has a criminal record of causing hurt and causing death, was arrested in Sentul, at 1am today.
“The local man has been remanded for seven days until Tuesday to assist investigations and to trace the other suspects,” he told a press conference, here today.
V Kandasamy, 43, died in a hail of bullets after being hit in the head, body and leg, by two people who were riding pillion on two motorcycles. Police confirmed the shooting at 3.35pm on July 27 involved secret societies.
