KUALA LUMPUR: A blogger, commenting on Kadir Jasin’s call to oust Prime Minister Najib Razak, has told the veteran newsman to also oust Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Hong Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying and China’s President Xi Jinping.
The blogger, who goes by the pseudonym Lim Sian See, said in his blog, this was because the economies of these nations too were “not doing well”.
Lim Sian See was commenting on Kadir’s remarks that the government had “technically run out of money” , suggesting it could be “fiddling with technicalities to hide the truth”.
Kadir said Prime Minister Najib Razak’s “cockeyed high-income policy and pseudo transformation” of the government had caused untold damage to the economy and brought misery to the people.
Lim told off Kadir, adding that he ( Kadir) should understand that it was a global problem and part of the economic cycle.
“And Malaysia is doing better than most in adapting and countering this,” the blogger claimed.
He said even the World Bank had praised Malaysia as doing better than average a few days ago.
Lim told Kadir: “If you keep on undermining consumer and investor confidence in our economy due to your political vendetta against the govt, you are directly sabotaging the economy. That makes you a traitor.
“We are at 4.1 per cent growth so far this year. We are not in negative growth or recession like what it was in 1985 or 1998.”
“Oh… did you ask your boss Mahathir to resign in 1985 or 1998?” he ended sarcastically.
In an interview with The Star last year, Lim Sian See admitted that that was not his name, and that it was a pseudonym. He has attracted considerable attention following his comments against opposition politicians.
