PETALING JAYA: A 38-year-old woman had the fright of her life when she found a cobra inside her toilet bowl this morning.
Harian Metro reported that the woman came across the snake when she woke up at 7am and was about to use the toilet in her house in Kampung Sungai Batu, Jelawang, Kuala Krai.
Zalma Sulung screamed for help and her husband, Kamarzan Ismail, 42, came to her aid.
Jeli Civil Defence Department officials were alerted about 8.30am and they found the snake was still inside the bowl.
They took five minutes to catch the two-metre-long snake.
On Wednesday, a feisty cat fought off a 1.5m-long black cobra that entered a home in Jalan Manggis, Teluk Intan, through a hole in the bathroom.
