Liow: MCA more popular after transformation programmes

Liow Tiong Lai MCAPETALING JAYA: MCA is well liked by the people because the party has “done a lot” especially after its successful transformation programmes, says Liow Tiong Lai.

The Star quoted the MCA president as saying that the party, being one of the most popular in the country at present, had previously suffered an exodus of members as many had grown tired of splits in the party, as well as rampant infighting.

“However, I can see that many, including party veterans, have come back to support us after our transformation programmes,” Liow was quoted as saying after opening the Subang MCA division’s annual general meeting in Kepong yesterday.

Liow said he came to this conclusion after reviewing the results of an online survey about the MCA, conducted by a Singapore-based organisation.

He also urged party leaders to stay united and strengthen the party.
