Three men, including a former policeman, are believed to have committed the crime through the bedroom window of the victim for a fee of RM1,200 each.
It was all due to the jealousy of an Indonesian man who had hired the three men to kill the victim alleged to be disturbing his second wife.
Sungai Buloh district police chief Supt Abdul Aziz Awang Darus said the victim’s wife, who was aware of the incident, had snatched the pole, but the three men were able to escape.
“The victim, in his 20s, who was known as Yanto, was stabbed and suffered severe bleeding in the stomach and was taken to the Sungai Buloh Hospital by his wife,” he told reporters here today.
Aziz said the victim died two days later at the hospital.
Asked by reporters whether the suspect who hired the three men was involved in the murder, Aziz said the suspect was believed to be the mastermind but only the three men carried out the act.
The four were arrested in Kampung Melayu Subang on Friday.
The ex-policeman who was arrested had been dismissed from the force due to a case of misconduct, he said.
All of them have been remanded for a week.
