KUALA LUMPUR:
The 13-year-old girl who caused a stir on social media after she went missing from her house in Taman Sri Sentosa on Friday, allegedly got lost and did not have any money to find her way back home, The Star reported.

She was found after a concerned citizen recognised her from a social media posting and called her father on Saturday.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Sharul Othman Mansor said the girl was believed to have left home to meet with two of her friends at KL Sentral on Friday.

“She left home with only RM5 and when she reached KL Sentral, she realised her friends did not come.

“She tried to get back home but took the wrong bus and ended up at a fast food restaurant near Section 7, Shah Alam, at around 10pm.

“She slept at the surau of a petrol station.”

The Star reported that the girl was taken to the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for a medical check and was given a clean bill of health.
