KUALA LUMPUR: Four people were found dead in a house in Subang Jaya that was almost destroyed by a fire early today, according to the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department.
Its assistant director of operations, Mohd Sani Harul, said three bodies were found in a bedroom of the double-storey house on Jalan USJ 2/3 and the fourth in a bathroom.
The identities of the dead have yet to be established, he said.
Sani said 80% of the house was destroyed in the fire that started at about 5.30am.
“The fire was brought under control by 6am. Sixteen officers and personnel from the Subang Jaya and Section 7 fire and rescue stations put out the blaze,” he said.
