MALACCA: Police arrested 13 youths, between the ages of 13 and 21, for having “consensual” sex with a Form Two student over the past one year, The Star reported.
The youths were picked up after the girl admitted to having sex with them in the classrooms, below the staircase in school, prayer room as well as at abandoned houses and even her own home.
The Star reported that her trysts came to light after one of her male classmates revealed this to their school’s counselling teacher.
The Star reported that the girl told the teacher the sexual acts were consensual and she had never asked for money after sex.
Malacca CID chief Senior Asst Comm Kamaluddin Kassim said the teacher got more information about her year-long sexual escapades before accompanying her to lodge a police report.
Following the report, police arrested 11 schoolboys aged between 13 and 16 from three schools and another two suspects aged 21.
Kamaluddin said the suspects will be investigated for rape and committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature.
“The girl has been sent for a medical test at Malacca Hospital and will be recommended for psychiatric evaluation,” he said.
Malacca Action Group for Parents in Education (Magpie) chairman Mak Chee Kin reminded boys that even with consent, sex with girls under 16 years old is statutory rape.
