Wan Azizah in hospital, condition stable, says report

PETALING JAYA: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail was admitted to hospital yesterday, Berita Harian reported.

However, there has been no update on the reason she was admitted.

Her press secretary, Rodziah Ismail told the Malay daily that the opposition leader’s condition was currently reported to be stable, and did not provide any further details.

“We appreciate the concern towards her health from everyone. On the advice of the doctors, visitors are only limited to immediate family members.

“This to give her enough room to recuperate and spend time with family and loved ones. Please pray for Dr Wan Azizah’s speedy recovery and return to work,” Rodziah was quoted as saying by Berita Harian.

Wan Azizah did not attend the Dewan Rakyat sitting nor the opening of the Selangor State Assembly yesterday.
