KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysia Airlines aircraft with 61 passengers and six crew-members skidded upon landing at the Sibu Airport last night during a heavy downpour.
However, the airline said no injuries had been reported so far in the 10.17pm incident involving flight MH2718 from Kuala Lumpur.
“All onboard safely disembarked via two slide rafts,” the airline said on Facebook.
It said an immediate investigation had been launched to determine the cause of the incident involving the Boeing 737-800 plane.
“The safety of all passengers is of utmost priority to Malaysia Airlines,” it added.
