PUTRAJAYA: Rafizi Ramli today arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters to follow up on his statutory declaration yesterday that former PAS deputy president Nasharudin Mat Isa had received money linked to 1MDB.
The Pandan MP, accompanied by Amanah senior leader Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, said the anti-graft commission had the relevant documents about 1MDB-linked funds being transferred from the company’s subsidiary to Prime Minister Najib Razak’s personal account.
“I just want to bring this to light again as the case is not closed yet,” he said, urging MACC to investigate Nasharudin and others who received the funds.
Rafizi yesterday named Nasharudin as the former PAS leader who had received funds linked to 1MDB.
He said this was based on his conversation with a former senior MACC officer, adding that the matter was also known to PAS’s Kuala Nerus MP, Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali.
Nasharudin was the PAS deputy president from 2005 to 2013, but was removed from the party’s Shura Council in 2013. He remains a party member.
Nasharudin is seen close to the Umno leadership, and in 2015, was appointed to lead Putrajaya’s Global Movement of Moderates (GMM).
