No ‘entrepreneurs fund’, BSN says of fake message

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) has dismissed a viral message claiming that it has created an “entrepreneurs fund”, offering between RM200,000 and RM400,000 to selected entrepreneurs.

BSN had previously been subject to a similar message purportedly related to a “dana infaq and solid cash” fund.

“This is a false viral message. BSN has never offered such funds or any similar types to customers,” it said in a statement today.

BSN also lodged a report with the authorities over the fake news on March 1.

The bank urged customers to verify any information they received and to be wary of any calls, SMSes or emails claiming to be from them.
