3 Malaysian students questioned by Manchester police


PETALING JAYA: Three Malaysian students were reportedly detained by Manchester police yesterday and questioned for several hours before being released.

The students were reportedly taken to the Longsight police station in Manchester at 5.40pm and released at 9pm, the foreign ministry said in a statement today.

No further details were given on the matter.

The ministry also advised the public to remain vigilant and follow the instructions by the local authorities.

It added that Malaysians living in Manchester were advised to report to the High Commission of Malaysia in London.
