KUALA LANGAT: Road Transport Department (RTD) director-general Nadzri Siron has expressed his willingness to fully cooperate with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in a probe they launched after he allegedly accepted a golf set as a gift.
He said he and several other RTD personnel had already presented themselves at the Selangor MACC headquarters twice, on Thursday and Friday to have their statements recorded.
”I have and am ready to give full cooperation in this investigation. So are other RTD personnel … If need be, they will give their statements to the MACC,” he told a press conference after overseeing RTD enforcement operations in conjunction with the upcoming Aidilfitri here today.
Yesterday, it was reported that the MACC had confirmed summoning Nadzri to facilitate investigations after he allegedly accepted a gift in the form of a golf set worth RM45,000.
MACC chief commissioner Dzulkifli Ahmad was quoted as saying the commission did not rule out the possibility that they would call up Nadzri again, as well as summon other individuals to assist in the probe.
Meanwhile, when asked whether he had handed any documents to the MACC, Nadzri said there was no such request from the anti-graft body instructing him or the department to do so.
