KUALA LUMPUR: Meet Mahadi Badrul Zaman, who owns a Jaguar decorated with “Hot Wheels” toy cars.

Taking his collection of toy cars which he had accumulated since he was young, the 34-year-old used them to turn his Jaguar, which he purchased 12 years ago, into a vehicle decorated with more than 4,600 Hot Wheels cars.

“I like creative ideas. Plus this Jaguar is my first car and has sentimental value to me, so I decided to execute the idea on this car,” he told Bernama today.

His creatively decorated car has drawn the attraction of many people who end up taking photos or selfies wherever he parks the vehicle, including at shopping complexes.

“I feel happy when others are happy. Some even tried stopping me on the road. So far, not many of the (toy) cars are missing.

“Of course I will have to park at a safer spot when I drive this car,” the businessman added.

The car decoration took about three weeks to complete with a capital of RM20,000. The toy cars were glued on using a special glass glue.

Since he started using the car in early January, Mahadi said people had been approaching him with the desire to purchase the unique vehicle.

“(It) never ever crosses my mind that I will sell this car because this was my dream car since I was young,” he said.

Asked if he would use the idea on his other cars, Mahadi said not at the moment. However, he added that he had thought of putting the toy cars on his blazers or suits.

“The idea may sound crazy but when we are creative, we will be more positive,” he said.
