FGV says Khairil Anuar Aziz to take over CEO role

PETALING JAYA: Felda Global Ventures Holdings (FGV) has appointed Khairil Anuar Aziz as officer in charge to take over the duties and responsibilities of the group president/chief executive officer, Bernama reported.

According to an exchange filing made by FGV, the board executive committee has also been disbanded with immediate effect.

Khairil Anuar has reportedly been with the FGV Group since 2012. He is currently the company’s chief operating officer (logistics and other sectors).

FGV made headlines when four of its executives, including its president and CEO Zakaria Arshad, were told to go on indefinite leave pending an internal investigation into an issue involving a delayed payment from a Dubai-based Afghan company, Safitex Trading, to FGV subsidiary, Delima Oil Products.

Besides Zakaria and chief financial officer Ahmad Tifli Mohd Talha, Delima Oil Products’ senior general manager Kamarzaman Abd Karim, and FGV trading CEO Ahmad Salman Omar were also asked to take a leave of absence.

On June 13, FGV issued a show-cause letter to Zakaria, giving him seven days to provide a written reply pertaining to the allegations mentioned in the letter.

Zakaria was subsequently granted an extension, and submitted his reply on June 29.
